Halfpenny Lange Junior, Infant and Nursery School attended the Awards Ceremony at Castleford Tigers RLC where the Mayor of Wakefield presented them with the following prizes: Innovative Business Idea Best Business Pitch and Presentation Highest Income Generated Halfpenny Lane raised £951 for the Hospice, made from the sale of their Pupil Portrait Calendar and Places of Pontefract Calendar. Earlier this week, six Year 5 pupils from Halfpenny Lane School showcased their entrepreneurial skills in the Build a Business Challenge, an initiative to fundraise for the Prince of Wales Hospice. The pupils delivered a 20-minute business pitch to a panel of five local business expects from Handelsbanken, Ridley and Hall Solicitors, We are Wakefield, Castleford Tigers, and Prince of Wales Hospice.
