This term, pupils across our primary schools put their culinary skills to the test in a fun, hands-on cooking competition with three competitive rounds. Round 1: Design a £10 menu Round 1 kicked off with a challenge to design a menu that could be made with a budget of £10. Pupils had to consider how their menu could be cost-effective yet flavoursome. This weekend, more than 80 of our staff members took part in the Pontefract 10K, all in support of Oliver’s Army, a cause close to the hearts of our school community. Oliver, the son of one of our teachers, is currently facing a second battle with neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. What started as an idea at Carleton High School quickly gained momentum across the Trust, with further schools and colleagues signing to support the cause.
